Pembroke

The town of Pembroke (hosting probably one of the finest castles in Wales) was where the Ryan family decided to set up business in 1988. Acquiring a rundown premises in the middle of the main street and having a vision of providing a local service at the heart of the community “WISEBUYS” was born.

Originally selling general household items accompanied by fresh fruit and vegetables, it quickly developed due to customer requirements into the food emporium you see today. To complement our range of produce, a large percentage of which is locally sourced, we have introduced a colourful array of china, pottery and kitchen paraphernalia over the last few years.

Narberth

As “WISEBUYS” grew, we expanded into Narberth, a picturesque market town where the castle dates back to the 13th Century. Historically it was home to Pwll, prince of Dyfed, a mythical royal mentioned in the Mabinogion.

We opened our doors in the middle of Narbeth high street in 1993, very quickly becoming fine food specialits; a true gastronomic delight often being described as a “mini Harrods” of which we take great pride.

Narberth town proudly offers a unique shopping experience with a full range of independent and diverse shops which we are proud to be a part of.
